PG II-LT is based on latex turbidimetric immunoassay which allows high sensitivity and precision thanks to a new enhancer. This reagent is designed for general biochemical automated analyzers.
Principle of the Method
When a sample is mixed with Buffer and Latex Reagent, PG II in the sample combines specifically with latex sensitized with anti-human PG II antibody (Mouse monoclonal antibody) in the Latex Reagent to yield an insoluble aggregate which causes increased turbidity in the solution. The degree of turbidity of solution can be measured optically and is proportional to the concentration of PG II in the patient's sample.
