C-Reactive Protein (CRP)
LT CRP-HS IIFor In Vitro Diagnostic Use
Intended Use
LT CRP-HS II is an in vitro assay for the quantitative determination of C-reactive protein (CRP) in serum or plasma.
Method
Latex immunoassay
Special Characteristics
LT CRP-HS II is based on latex turbidimetric immunoassay which utilizes new enhancer, allowing broad measurable range (0.01-35.00 mg/dL). This reagent is not interfered significantly by other serum components.
Principle of the Method
When a sample is mixed with Buffer and Latex Reagent, CRP in the sample combines specifically with the latex sensitized with anti-human CRP antibody (Goat polyclonal antibody) in the Latex Reagent to yield an insoluble aggregate which causes increased turbidity in the solution. The degree of turbidity of solution can be measured optically and is proportional to the concentration of CRP in the patient's sample.
