Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT)
L-Type ALT.J2For In Vitro Diagnostic Use
Intended Use
L-Type ALT.J2 is an in vitro assay for the quantitative determination of the activity of alanine aminotransferase (ALT) in serum or plasma.
Method
JSCC Transferable Method
Special Characteristics
L-Type ALT.J2 is a liquid reagent which improves the stable formation of coenzyme.
Principle of the Method
When a sample is mixed with Substrate-Enzyme and α-KG, glutamate and pyruvate are formed from L-alanine and α-ketoglutarate in a reaction catalyzed by ALT in the sample. The pyruvate thus produced is converted to lactate by lactate dehydrogenase (LD) and at the same time, NADH is oxidized to NAD. By measuring the decrease in absorbance at 340 nm due to the oxidation of NADH, ALT activity in the sample is determined.
Standard Procedure
