Lactate Dehydrogenase (LD)
L-Type LD.JFor In Vitro Diagnostic Use
Intended Use
L-Type LD.J is an in vitro assay for the quantitative determination of the activity of lactate dehydrogenase (LD) in serum or plasma.
Method
UV kinetic (JSCC Transferable Method)
Special Characteristics
L-Type LD.J is a liquid type reagent which is stable to be designed for general biochemical automated analyzer.
Principle of the Method
When a sample is mixed with the reagent, lactate is oxidized to pyruvate in the presence of NAD in diethanolamine buffer. NAD is reduced to β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide, reduced form (NADH) resulting in the increase of absorbance at 340 nm. By measuring the formation rate of NADH, LD activity in the sample is determined.
