Ferritin
Ferritin-LTFor In Vitro Diagnostic Use
Intended Use
Ferritin-LT is an in vitro assay for the quantitative determination of ferritin in serum or plasma.
Method
Latex Immunoassay
Special Characteristics
Ferritin-LT is based on latex turbidimetric immunoassay, allowing broad measurable range.
This reagent is applicable to the commercially available automated analyzers.
Principle of the Method
When a sample is mixed with Buffer and Latex Reagent, ferritin in the sample combines specifically with anti-human ferritin antibody (rabbit polyclonal antibody) sensitized on the latex particle to yield an insoluble aggregate which causes increased turbidity in the solution. The degree of turbidity of solution can be measured optically and proportional to the concentration of Ferritin in the patient's sample.
Standard Procedure
Application to automated analyzers and Package are available upon request.
